Q. What is your background?
Besides a pediatric sleep coach, I have coached and worked as a consultant for parents about child development. For the last 10 years, I have worked with parents of special needs kids and coach them through the physical therapies they implement at home with their kids.
Working with parents daily, my heart really went out to those parents whose kids were not sleeping well! I wanted to find a solution for these families so that they could get the rest they needed and their children could sleep well. That’s what inspired me to become a sleep coach.
I love working with families towards the common goal of sleep and find it rewarding to see big changes happen so quickly!
Q. What should readers know about some of your most popular services?
Prenatal/Newborn packages: This package is designed to help you and your baby start on the right foot with sleep. I have a 1 hour session (in-person or remote) to teach you the very best sleeping habits for your baby/babies. This service includes 2 weeks of email support and at least 2 follow-up calls.
Private sleep consultations: I will create a custom sleep plan based on a detailed questionnaire and go over the program either in-person or remotely. For a minimum of 2 weeks after the initial call, I offer unlimited email support to my families. In addition, I provide 4 follow-up calls to make sure things are going as planned and to tweak things as needed.
Half/Full night support: In addition to everything that comes with a private sleep consultation, I will make a home visit and be there to help you with “Night 1” of the sleep training process. I will be there every step of the way to help walk you through the process and answer your questions, real-time. Half night support is until midnight and full night is until 5:30am. This type of support will show you exactly what to do with bedtime, middle of the night wake-ups, and/or early morning wake-ups.
Q. What is distinctive about your approach to helping families get better sleep?
I teach about the importance of physical activity and nutrition and how these two things can greatly impact sleep. In fact, activity and nutrition are integral parts of my sleep training program and I give parents the tools, guidance, and support that they need to achieve a better night’s sleep.
Sleep training is a challenge, and can be tough to do without someone holding you accountable and coaching you through. And that is what I do! I am there for you every step of the way until we achieve the sleep goals you want.
