The following is a list of Greater Philadelphia breastfeeding classes in Chester County, Pennsylvania:
“During this program you will learn breastfeeding techniques to get you off to a good start, steps for successful breastfeeding, and information for coping with common situations or problems that can occur in the early weeks. The father of the baby or a supportive family member is encouraged to attend.
Please bring a life-size doll or stuffed animal so that you can practice positioning techniques as they are demonstrated during class. Class registration is for two participants. Plan to attend two to three months before your baby is due”
“This one session class is for pregnant women who are interested in breastfeeding. The program provides practical information helpful in getting breastfeeding off to a successful start. Topics covered include factors impacting milk production, correct latch and positioning, feeding schedules, and problem-solving for a successful breastfeeding experience. We strongly recommend that you take this class if you are planning to be a breastfeeding mom.
Spouses/significant others are encouraged to attend.Best taken during the 7th month of pregnancy.”
“By appointment. Whether you are a first-time mom or were not successful with previous experiences, this class will meet your personal needs. A comprehensive review of positioning and latching techniques and how to solve minor problems that may occur in the early postpartum period are included. Learn how to tell when your baby is getting enough too.”
“Anyone interested in feeding their baby human milk, whether pregnant, adopting, breastfeeding, chestfeeding, feeding donor milk, or anywhere in between, is welcome to come to our free meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help. Attending La Leche League meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing parents. At these monthly meetings, attendees share not only their questions and concerns but also the benefits and joys of breastfeeding.”
